In today’s digital world, regional governments need strong, resilient networks to support the communities they serve. Since 2016, HCE Telecom has partnered with the Region of Halton to deliver reliable and flexible network connectivity across more than 150 critical sites. From municipal offices and service hubs to field locations and health facilities, HCE's carrier-agnostic approach ensures seamless, always-on connectivity that Halton can count on.

A Flexible, Future-Ready Solution

The Region of Halton initially selected HCE through a competitive RFP process, seeking a partner to modernize its internet, WAN, and telephony services. HCE proposed a highly adaptable solution, combining multiple last-mile technologies—fibre optic, coax, DSL, and LTE - to maximize uptime, route around outages, and meet the diverse connectivity needs of all sites.

Continuing the Partnership

In 2024, the Region of Halton was required to issue a new public RFP to reevaluate its connectivity requirements. Following a competitive procurement process, HCE Telecom was once again selected—reinforcing the Region’s trust in HCE’s service quality, technical leadership, and ongoing commitment to customer success.

As the Region of Halton looks to the future, HCE remains a proud technology partner—providing the infrastructure and expertise to support a connected, resilient, and service-focused community.

“This collaboration not only enhanced the immediate project outcomes but also contributed to the broader goals of Halton Region’s strategic initiatives,” added Tennyson. “By prioritizing a deep understanding of regional needs, minimizing service disruptions, and leveraging technical expertise, the HCE team exceeded expectations and set a strong precedent for future partnerships.”
